Huia is a bay located on the northern shores near the mouth of the Manukau Harbor and is only 15 minutes easy and safe drive to the cafes and shopping in Titirangi or about forty minutes drive to the heart of Auckland's CBD. Here one can live a life of peace and tranquillity in the small coastal village community of Huia with its one General Store and and still be within easy reach of Auckland and airport.
The environment is fuelled by a mixture of Waitakere Ranges, West Coast Ocean, hot harbour bays, cool forest, sweeping pasture and clear mountain streams.
While the Manukau harbour offers unlimited fishing potential, beautiful tracks in and around Huia and the nearby Karamatura Valley, lead to swimming holes, waterfalls, West Coast Beaches and with exquisite ocean, forest and mountain bush views. The recently opened Sir Edmund Hillary Trail is a stunning 4 Day 3 night experience.
Zoned schools are Rudolf Steiner School, Laingholm Primary, Glen Eden Intermediate, Woodlands Park , Kelston Boys Highschool and Green Bay High School are a few serviced by the school bus from Huia.
